The Press Conference: 2018 Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival & the 10th VWSF was Successfully Hold

By Sophia Zhang)In order to promote the 2018 Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival & the 10th Vancouver Water Splashing Festival, the press conference was successfully hold at Burnaby City Hall on July 10th.


The press conference started with the welcome speech by Mayor Derek Corrigan, City of Burnaby. He thought highly about the Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival, he announced the “Chinese Cultural Heritage Week” from July 23 to July 29, and the 2018 Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival & the 10th Vancouver Water Splashing Festival will be take place on July 29th at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby. 


Then Mayor Corrigan presented the Proclamation Certificate to Harris, President of Canada Community Service Association.


Councillors Paul McDonell and James Wang introduced the history of Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival, what have they done to support it and how it becomes the biggest community cultural event in Burnaby.


Harris Niu, President of Canada Community Service Association, the festival organizer, sent his heartfelt thanks to city of Burnaby, to all the contributors, and he will continue to promote Chinese Cultural Heritage as well as multiculturalism.


Burnaby School Trustee Baljinder Narang; Michael Wang, vice Chairman of Chinese Benevolent Association of Vancouver; Vera Pan, on behalf of Aimforce Development, the sponsor; Jeff Jiang, President of Chinese Construction and Renovation Association of Canada, the host; Kenny Gu, President of iButler, another host; Claire Wang, Burnaby Hospital Foundation; Dong Cunfa, Principal of Chinese Ambassadors and Liu Di, Director of 2018 CCHF and the 10thVWSF introduced the coming festival and how impressed they were for this cultural event, and they sent their best wishes to this event.

Fu Changjun, sound system technician for 2018 CCHF, introduced the newest technology we are going to use for this festival.

Shicong Ding, the international volleyball referee introduced the fun whole-day volleyball games on July 29.

Little Sarah shared her view of Chinese Cultural Heritage.

Edgar Vinicio, the famous musician, the special invited guest for this event, played beautiful pan flute music.

The conference ended with Questions and answers from more than 10 medias on site.



Canada Chinese Services Society Directors at the Proclamation Certificate Presentation Ceremony

Councillor Colleen Jordan, Pietro Calendino, Sav Dhaliwal and more hounored guestes and, CCSA Seniors Association, Qipao Association, WS Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society, WS Multicultural Writers Association, Dawah Pen Centre, Richmond Couplets Association and many more organizations attended this press conference. 



This press conference was moderated by Liu Hai and Sophia Xinyuan Zhang, and around 100 people attended this conference.

Proclamation Certificate of Chinese Cultural Heritage Week 2018

The 2018 Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival and the 10th Vancouver Water Splashing Festival, organized by Canadian Community Service Association (CCSA), sponsored by Aimforce Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., hosted by Chinese Construction and Renovation Association of Canada (CCRAC), and HellobButler.com, will be held at the Swangard Stadium in Burnaby on July 29 from 10am to 6pm:
